Aly's Newsletter: New story leads, and do you know this kitty?

Hi, friends! Happy Tuesday!

First and foremost, I’d like to discuss a found cat alert.

If any of my newsletter readers happen to live in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, or know anyone (other than me!) who does, my friend and favorite neighbor Kendall found a sweet adorable lost kitty on on Park btwn 5th/6th Ave. the night before last.

She's currently fostering him but we're very much hoping to find his humans, who we believe must be heartbroken and looking everywhere for him. She already took him to the vet last night, and unfortunately he is not chipped.

If this little guy looks familiar to you, or you know ANYTHING about who his humans may be and if they are looking for him please drop me a note and I'll pass it on so we can get him reunited with his family. Thank you!!

Now onto the usual business. Here’s what I'm working on today.

1 - ALL the Forbes and HerMoney stories I posted about yesterday are still pending and I am still accepting pitches.

2 - For Spy.com, I'm working on the following today:

3. Still working on my Clean Plates story I posted about yesterday.  I'm doing a roundup of Healthiest Boxed and Frozen Mac and Cheese.  I'd love a nutritionist to weigh in as far as how we determine healthiness - is it  lack of processed garbage ingredients?  whole grains?  protein" ingredients that are real foods? Are there any boxed macs that have vegetables mixed in there too? That would be cool. As for which to include, I'd love to hear from brands, and obviously want to include the ones that everyone knows about, like Annie's, Amy's, Banza, etc,  (and please do your best to include nutritional factors as referenced above) and I'd love also if an expert can weigh in on super fast ways to hack your frozen or boxed mac and cheese to make it healthier. What's something a mom can throw together in like under 5 minutes while her other child is having a tantrum that she can still feel pretty good about?

 For Next Century Spirits, I'm working on a story on The (Spiked) Tea on Cask Strength Whiskey -  I'd love an expert to weigh in on what cask strength whisky is, how it performs/sells with consumers, current trends around cask strength whisky, what brands should know if they're interested in creating one. This one I need to turn around for TOMORROW.
