Hi, friends!

We're almost at the midway point of what is turning out to be a super busy week.

But I think it's important to make time for the ... appreciating the things that really matter, so when my friend Jess told me she would be in town tonight for work, I ran out to go meet her at a local bar I love.

I had actually never met her in real life before, but we bonded pretty quickly during the pandemic (over air fryers, if you’ll believe it), and real life proved...even more amazing.

Here's what I'm working on this week (and what I WAS working on that is now all wrapped up.)

1. For Today.com, I'm still accepting pitches for Thanksgiving recipe kits/meal kits, but the prepared carryout Thanksgiving dinner stories and the sandwich day stories are both completed.

2. For Spy.com, I'm still looking for pitches for: black friday/cyber monday appliances, best Black Friday mattress sales, best non-perishable foods you can buy on Amazon.

3. For Clean Plates, I'm sourcing Healthy Versions of Thanksgiving Classics Recipes. I'm interested in different proteins, vegan options, Whole 30-friendly options, etc. These should be from food authors, food bloggers, food influencers, etc (not like the NYT - not that I don't love NYT recipes, but it's not that kind of story). I'm looking for healthful recipes using clean ingredients (avocado oil, vegetables, proteins, whole grains) and avoiding processed foods, refined sugar, refined flour, etc.

I'm trying to focus on Blue Zones generally, Sardinia in particular, and why people want to eat these foods, (I'd love a nutritionist to weigh in, linking to a couple of medical studies)

4. ALL Forbes.com holiday gift guides that I was working on are not wrapped up (but there's a chance one or two more will pop up in the next week or two. Stay tuned!)
