Best Practices In Planning (And Accepting) A Group Press Trip
Happy Valentine's Day weekend!
I was almost on a press trip this weekend. Almost as in, I was invited, I desperately wanted to say yes (it was visiting my favorite part of the globe in the name of one of my very favorite topics), but unfortunately I had to say no because pandemic-wise, I wasn't quite feeling ready for a long international trip in the midst of the current Omicron wave.
Luckily, I was able to refer a close friend for the trip, so I still can pretend I'm there by living vicariously through her social media shares and mid-vineyard text messages.
Still, I'm so sad to miss and looking forward to traveling again very very soon. I'm just about ready to start seeing friends again and doing intimate dinners again (I hadn't since December...ugh), so maybe my next trip will be just a few weeks away.
But it seemed like a great opportunity to let this weekend's paid newsletter post focus on press trips. What works, what doesn't, and how to make it work.
