Industry Insights Edition: A Note In Defense Of Working On Weekends

Everyone has (of course!) heard the saying about working for the weekend.

But what if there's a lot of value to working ON the weekend?

I know, not a super popular choice -- but then again, a lot of us don't feel particularly inclined to be celebrating America's birthday this weekend anyway.

I support the concept of a work/life balance just as much as anyone else (in fact, I had a beautiful dinner last night at one of the hottest new restaurants in NYC with one of my best friends), but the reality is weekend work spillover is a fact of life for most of us -- and sometimes that's actually a good thing.

Or, at least, something we should stop feeling guilty about.
