Industry Insights: Here's Why You Need To Check Out Substack Notes
It's a new place to connect -- but it's so much more than that!
Hi, everyone!
Taking a break from my regularly scheduled daily morning post for some administrative upkeep…and a little intel about a new feature available to subscribers.
For anyone who may or may not have noticed, I’ve started publishing some notes on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there!
(But don’t worry, the daily email you are used to and expect is not going anywhere — this is just a way to supplement the conversation!)
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions, but also a way to expand the conversation, as in this example above.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to my newsletter, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of this newsletter can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
Now, if you are wondering how this fits into my insights category of post — I think it will be HUGELY useful for industry-specific content we can have more in-depth conversations about topics we are already discussing, be it the changing media landscape, AI, pitching, events, and so many of the other topics we recently discuss. It also allows people who have different takes on these topics to interact and learn from one another. It was NEVER my attempt to turn this newsletter into some sort of a sermon on the mount, and this makes it more of a conversation than a monologue.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
That’s it for now — chat more soon!
