Anyway…

It is Super Bowl weekend, and it's also Valentine's weekend - that makes it a complicated time planning wise - but also an interesting time to examine from a content perspective.

Like many people, I am far more interested in the commercials during the Super Bowl than the Super Bowl itself. (Though I do see my allegiance leaning toward the Eagles if anyone is interested!), but what I was considering this morning is that as those who write and send pitches -- so that'd be both the media and PR side of things in different senses -- there's a lot we can learn from the best of the Super Bowl commercials.

Some are clever, some are silly, a lot are kind of cheesy. But all have a narrative and most are trying to sell you something. And that means there's some lessons about writing and pitching we can learn from watching.
