It's Monday! Here's What Aly Is Working On.

Happy Monday!

Sorry for the late hour, today was a bit wild. But I wanted to send a quick and dirty rundown of what I'm working on right now:

1. For Merriam Webster's The Usage, I'm writing what I am sure will be a totally sexy guide to...bug repellents. Mosquito sprays, roach sprays, rodent repellents, all those things a fair game, if they sell online at major online retailers. Let me know what you have!

2. And because i'm sure after reading that you are feeling a bit...grimy? I'm also working on a roundup of shower heads for the same outlet, as well as a roundup of best charcoal grills. All are due end of day Thursday. Emails only please! And please make sure they are all major online retailers. (My email is alywalansky@gmail.com for anyone new to the party.)

3. Still accepting pitches for all my queries from this weekend's newsletter, including stovetop coffee makers and California wines for Fall (both for Forbes), and the memory loss story for ETNT. The memory loss story will be something I need to wrap up and submit tomorrow while i'm inflight so REALLY appreciate getting as much of it done as possible before then. For Eat This, Not That, I'm doing a story The #1 Cause of Memory Loss, Say Experts...I will of course touch on the brain fog associated with long COVID, which would not be the #1 cause, but it on people's minds these days...but I'd love experts to weigh in on causes of memory loss, what they think is the biggest cause and why, what we can do about it, and any research/studies that they can link back to would be fab.
