Your ideas for the starter kitchen helped me to develop a similar list, but one that could be used when an Iranian woman (or man) has a starter kitchen. She would need different spices. She would need a cutting board.
One time my husband had them redo our kitchen, and he for got to include a pull-out cutting board. He did not make the same mistake, when a leak in the cupboard forced us to redo the kitchen a second time.
