Weekend Industry Insights Edition: A Note On Scheduling Emails
When I host my lunch and learn or consult calls, I get a lot of questions that come back to emails. If there's a better time or day to email, if there's a sweet sauce to how often and when to follow up, and so forth.
What I often say as far as the best time of day to email is that it's all good to me. I'm just about always on my email. And if I'm not, your email will be there when I get back to my email.
But for people who do have a preferred time or day to receive email, or if your preference is to have an email arrive at a specific time or day, scheduling emails is a lifesaver. I usually work most Saturday afternoons and schedule many emails to arrive on Monday mornings. This can be everything from pending assignments to research questions to invoices.
Whatever your reason for scheduling, in today's Industry Insights edition I'll do a quick refresher on how to schedule and also why you want to!
