So sorry about your computer. Fourteen years ago, when my kitties were tiny, they jumped up on my desk and spilled a fresh glass of water all over my Mac desktop (the ones that used to have that big tower on the floor). I had to both replace my computer and get data recovered that wasn't backed up...expensive and a big time suck. Sending good Mac vibes your way.
I suggest calling your new computer Samantha -- since she's midnight colored...the bewitching hour, perhaps she's a good witch with magical powers like Samantha Stevens. And, given all the excitement around Kim Catrell's return to SATC, it could also be an homage to everyone's favorite uninhibited PR gal.
