Hey Aly! Native Floridian here with plenty of sunburn experience.. if you have a bathtub, I SWEAR by soaking for an hour in a warm black tea bath. Dump a ton of Lipton black tea bags into a warm tub and your burn will turn to a tan overnight. I don't know the science behind it but it works.
Rodan and Fields Soothe is great for your face - it's pricey so I'm too cheap to slather it on my body, but you could use on shoulders, etc. too. It provides pretty immediate relief. Ulta used to stock some of their products. Back in the day Ocean Potion Lotion was a fave for body lotion. Lots of water and ibuprofen are my other go to.
Hi, Aly, ugh, I have been there. Us fair skinned gals. A bowl of ice and water, mix in some vinegar. Soak a wash cloth and put it on the burn for a few minutes and repeat. Do this a couple of times a day as you're able. Ibuprofen also helps and drink lots of water! Hope it brings some relief. This should speed up the process and you will feel better in a few days.
Good morning Aly! Not sure this is a sunburn hack, but I've always been told (and tried my best to follow) the advice to drink lots of water. The whole hydrate from the inside thing 🥰 and if you peel, don't pick! Harder done than said, at least for me 😄 and wear your softest, coziest clothes! xo
Yikes! Been there - a lot. I have super sensitive skin so I keep it limited to pure aloe. Anything with fragrance or colour can really irritate the damaged skin. Drink heaps of water and sleep! Best of luck healing!!!
It's not a home remedy or anything, but it helps. And smells delicious. If the burn is really bad, I use that in conjunction with aloe with Lidocaine in it (key!!). They make sprays if it hurts to rub anything into your skin too!
Oh no - sunburns are the worst! As a redhead, I have had far too many in my time. Not necessarily different from what you are already doing, but I swear by putting on SO much more lotion than you think you need. I love the After Sun Lotion with Aloe and Vitamin E and I do a thick coat about 3-5x a day. Has always helped me actually turn my burns into tans with no peeling! Cold shower + this lotion is the best relief.

A few drops of Lavender essential oil mixed in with your aloe applied a few times a day will expedite the healing process.
Sunburn relief... cold milk compresses! I got a hella bad sunburn in my teens and my mom swore by it. It helped take the burn out.
