If experience has taught me anything it's that commenting on these kinds of things if I don't agree will get me hate responses but oh well... here goes. Beauty and fashion PR teams have always had budget for cars - travel and food PR less so. When we budget for an event, transportation for attending media has never been a line item. If it starts to be, clients will balk because they have never had to pay it before. I'm not saying it's impossible nor am I saying it's not a good idea. But the last time I did it for an event, the Uber credits wound up being more expensive than the entire floral budget. Media DEFINITELY took advantage, one of them actually made her car make 3 stops to quickly "run errands". So I get that it's an easy thing to offer but it is cost prohibitive for folks at smaller businesses. Please keep that in mind.
no, of course -- i fully respect that different agencies and brands and events will be playing with different sorts of budgets and it may or may not be possible for them. and that's totally fine. but in the instances where it IS something that is doable, it's an incredible benefit.
